Today Mom would of been 85 years old, she was one heck of a grand lady, BUT she hated her age. When we had her 80th birthday she dressed but refused to come down for the party as she did not like the fuss and she was 80. I am glad we had her party as it was the last one we would be able to celebrate with her. Moms best friend was Shirley Cross, friends since before half of my brothers and sisters were born. Today Shirley left this earth and joined Mom in heaven. Shirley fought a tremendous battle with cancer and today she went home and joined her loved ones. Shirley you will be missed as much as I miss Mom. You were like a second Mom to me.

I miss Grandma everyday. Her and I grew so close after she moved here to Brookings. I have tears running down my face just typing this. I posted a pic of her on my blog. Everytime I look at that picture I break down.
