Plant sale picturesIt has been a while since I last did a post and I have heard from several people wondering if I am ok, thanks guys as I know you are reading my blog and do care. I have been extremely busy. Work at the Assisted Living has taken a new direction, I work nights from 7pm to 7am, so do try to get some sleep. The gardens are planted and weeded and weeded and again weeded. Amazing how fast a week will grow vs a vegetable or flower plant. I am using a new hoe called a stirrup how or a shuffle hoe and it really works well, cuts the weeding in half, and I am all for that.
The Brookings Area Master Gardeners had their first and will be annual plant sale, we raised just under $700.00 which will go for scholarships for Master Gardeners and for horticulture students at SDSU. I chaired the committee and had alot of fun getting it up and running.
My daughter Kathy asked me to help her clean apartments again after the college graduation, bonding time over a dirty bathroom-LOL but it was hard work but good money. I can pay off the dentist bill now. I even managed to loose a couple of pounds.
So that is what I have been up to the last month. Now that life has settled down, I will be able to update more often.
